Parent Support Advisors - Aylsham Cluster

The Aylsham Cluster was among the first in Norfolk to appoint Parent Support Advisers. Our Parent Support Adviser is Carol Flatters. Finger Puppets Her role is to help deal with any worries or concerns parents may have about their child, recognising that parenting isn’t an easy job and at times things can get tough. Her main areas of work are:

Helping to prevent problem behaviour from becoming more difficult
Regular meetings and visits with you at school or in your home
Finding services and other agencies available to help families
Supporting you when you meet with teachers or other professionals
Helping you and your child when they are starting or moving between schools
Supporting parents to help their child get the best out of school life
Helping parents to understand: how and what their child learns, annual reviews, homework, coursework or texts
Supporting where attendace and exclusions are a cause for concern

In addition to this, Carol has organised events for families during the holidays such as a visit to Norwich Puppet Theatre.
