Community Partners

Some of our partners

We work with wide range of community partners to ensure that children and families have access to a wide range of opportunities.

Aylsham Library have been working in partnership with many of the schools over a number of years. They provide storytelling sessions for young children and special sessions for older children and teenagers. They often host special events and were the first public library in Norfolk to open on Sundays especially for families. The photograph illustrates a special event for families.

Rotary International LogoThe Rotary Club have dedicated much of their time to raising funds for local schools and organisations. They are keen to promote literacy in the community and a group known as ‘Rotary Readers’ spend an hour each week listening to children read and discussing books, to encourage a love of reading.

Jubilee Family CentreThe Jubilee Family Centre is also a long term partner and has this year provided support for families where one or more children has been diagnosed with ADHD. Some families have taken part in weekly support sessions and others have taken the opportunity to have one to one guidance and support. Partners at the JFC, work closely with the Special Educational Needs Cluster Network, to ensure that their work closely links with that of the schools.

Girl playing with sandThere are a number of Pre–School Playgroups throughout the Cluster. We recognise that the role that they play in ensuring that children have enjoyable opportunities and first learning experiences outside the home. They are run by very committed and hard working teams to provide safe, happy, secure and stimulating environments where the children can develop confidence and self esteem. The contribution that our playgroup colleagues play in the development of young people is significant and we look forward to developing further opportunities to work with them as part of our Extended Schools Strategy.
