Community Access

All of the schools in the Aylsham Cluster work closely with their communities and get involved with events where possible. Some recent examples have included students cooking for the Aylsham Slow Food Festival, embracing the plastic bag free vision for Aylsham and liaising with parish newsletters to include details of activities happening in local villages.

Where possible schools work with local people to ensure that facilities are available in the evenings and weekends for local clubs and organisations. For some very small schools this can prove difficult especially if there is not a caretaker to lock up.

Boy Catching BallFencingOften the facilities for sport on school sites are of great value to local communities. Some schools have more space than others. Some smaller schools may have a tennis court available for booking and some may have a greater number of facilities. Please contact the school secretary of your child’s school if you would like to find out more about what is available to use.

Adult Education classes are delivered in a number of schools and we have worked very hard in the last year to build a positive partnership with Adult Education toensure that the classes offered are what local people have said they are interested in. We are proud of this partnership and would like to thank the local Adult Education team for their willingness to try to meet the needs of people in the Aylsham cluster area.
